Where Supra started.
We started selling on Instagram back in 2017, supplying sneaker stores across the Milwaukee and Madison area. We hustled drops, hand-delivered pairs, and built relationships with the kind of shops that actually cared about what they sold.
Madison didn’t have its own heat shop — so we opened one.
By 2021 we had grown enough to notice something obvious: nowhere in Madison was supplying the city with the drops people actually wanted. So at the height of COVID, we opened our own storefront on State Street, right next to the UW campus. We launched our Wisconsin merch capsule and committed to the Madison community that helped us grow.
Why we went online-only.
As much as we loved the storefront, we kept hitting the same ceiling: we couldn’t supply the best products at the best prices to everyone who wanted them while running brick-and-mortar overhead. So we made the call — close the State Street shop, go fully online, and pass the savings on.
